Kamrusepas is the Hittite goddess of healing and spells. Known simply as The Mother, She is the powerful healer and sorceress who provides miracle healings and cures to the people of Mesopotamia. She rules over chanting and ritual. A calm and benevolent force, She loosens what is stuck or bound. Honey and fruits are sacred to Her.
Kamrusepa plays a key role in the Hittite myth of Telepinu, the agricultural god who vanishes in a sulk, making the world infertile. She commissions a bee to awaken him and bring the sun and life back to the mortals. Kamrusepa then heals him by soothing him with wheat , wool from the sheep, and olive oil which was once believed to be the Waters of Life.
